1. When can I start Drivers Ed? |
A. You can start the classroom at 15 & 9 mos, however you cannot drive until you are 16 years old and have a Massachusetts Learners Permit.
2. When will I be eligible for my JOL? |
A. When you are 16 1/2 after you have completed a certified Drivers Ed course.
3. Will letting my child operate my car on his/her permit increase my auto insurance? |
A. No.
4. Do I have to observe my child's driving? |
A. Yes, in order for your teen to certified, you must observe the teen drive for 40 hours and sign a document certifying you have done so.
5. Do I need a paper copy of my drivers education certificate? |
A. No, the Registry will file your certificate electronically.
6. Do the fees for the Drivers Ed Classes cover my License costs? |
A. No, they do cover the cost of your Drivers Ed Certificate.
7. How long after I get my JOL will I be able to drive with passenger under the age 18? |
A. 6 months.
8. What if have an 18 year old next to me,does that count as an |
A. No, must be 21 or older driving at least one year.
9. Will the school issue my License when I finish drivers education? |
A. No , only the RMV issue permits and Licenses.
10. How long do I have to complete Drivers Ed? |
A. 2 years.
